Trump überlegt, Coronakranken Desinfektionsmittel zu spritzen – das sind die Reaktionen

Das tägliche Update von US-Präsident Donald Trump zur Lage der Vereinigten Staaten in der Coronavirus-Pandemie lässt viele Menschen erneut ratlos zurück. Nachdem er lange Cloroquin als das Wundermittel gegen die Krankheit Covid-19 anpries, obschon Mediziner davon warnten, scheint Trump nun neue Ideen zu haben.

An der Pressekonferenz sprach er von einer UV-Licht-Therapie innerhalb des Körpers und von der Möglichkeit, Desinfektionsmittel zu spritzen. Im Wortlaut:

«Mal angenommen: Wir bestrahlen den Körper mit Ultraviolett oder sonst einem sehr starken Licht. Ich glaube, du (Coronavirus-Koordinatorin Deborah Birx, Anm. der Red.) hast gesagt, das wurde noch nicht geprüft, aber man werde es testen. Angenommen, man könnte dieses Licht in den Körper bringen, durch die Haut oder sonst irgendwie. Ich glaube, du hast gesagt, das wird man auch testen. Klingt interessant.

Und dann sehe ich Desinfektionsmittel, das das Virus in einer Minute abtötet. Eine Minute. Und gibt es eine Möglichkeit, wie wir das machen können? Eine Injektion im Körper, fast wie eine Reinigung. Es wäre interessant, das zu testen.»

Schluck und spritz dir kein Desinfektionsmittel!

Vermutlich müsste es nicht gesagt werden, aber: Wir wollen hier darauf hinweisen, dass die Einnahme von Desinfektionsmitteln auf jegliche Art schwer gesundheitsschädigend oder sogar tödlich sein kann. Belasse es also lieber bei der äusseren Anwendung.

Als ein Journalist bei der Fragerunde kritisierte, dass die US-Bevölkerung zuschaue, um Informationen zu erhalten und nicht um Gerüchte zu hören, meinte Trump: «Ich bin der Präsident und Sie sind Fake News.»
